Sunday Recap! Through Sickness and in Health...

Pin It I take for granted the Sundays I feel great. I don't really think about the good days until I'm not feeling very well.

This past Sunday I missed our early morning service in Arlington. I was on my way when all of a sudden I had that Puke feeling. I pulled over and.... yuck.

So I turned back and slept for a while at home. I hate missing!  Ever!! Thankfully we have a great team that pulled off a great service.

I awoke later feeling well enough for our afternoon service. I pushed through the service with a scratchy voice. It wasn't perhaps pretty, but it was my offering of worship and I gave all I had.

Put Truth on Display in Worship! You can't go wrong.
We sang "Free Indeed" today, an original tune of mine/arrangement of an old hymn. I love how the Church responds to this song. The first line says "He that the Son has set free is free indeed." I've never had a song where after you sing the first line you hear the congregation hoot and holler.  I love that!  I know they aren't responding to my singing, the bands playing, or to my songwriting... but to the Truth on display.

So looking back... I didn't feel great. I wasn't at my "best" in a physical sense. I didn't "perform" at my best. All that said... It was a great day to be in the House of the Lord. It was a great day to, with all that is with in me Bless His Holy Name!

Hoping your services went well. God bless.
