Ugh.  I just saw this on the Yahoo! front page...

I wonder if this church fellowships with Westboro Baptist?

A small Kentucky Free Will Baptist church bans interaccial marriage.  They state the following...

The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church does not condone interracial marriage. Parties of such marriages will not be received as members, nor will they be used in worship services and other church functions, with the exception being funerals.

Wait a second.  ...With the exception of funerals...?  What a strange place to draw the line. I wonder if they have found a secret scripture that allows interaccial couples to take part in funerals?

There isn't a place in scripture that outlaws interaccial marriage. This leads to me to believe they aren't motivated by scripture but by hate and stupidity.

It goes on to say...

All are welcome to our public worship services. This recommendation is not intended to judge the salvation of anyone, but is intended to promote greater unity among the church body and the community we serve.

REALLY!??! Are we really to believe this is intended to promote greater unity?

I read this and couldn't stop from speaking out against it.  I hate this sooo much.

Here is a local news report.

Churches can be so stupid sometimes.  Churches can be so hateful and racist sometimes. Churches can be so un-biblical sometimes.

This couple would be welcome at my church!  How about yours?
