Let's take a moment to think on the Object of our Worship!
Jesus Christ
2 Timothy 4:8
There is a Crown of Righteousness. Who bestows this crown? The Righteous Judge - Jesus Christ
1 John 2:1-2
"if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the Atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
Jesus Christ is the Righteous ONE. No one else is Righteous!
Matthew 5:6
We can be filled with Righteousness if we hunger and thirst after it... This happens not because we have found a self improvement breakthrough, but because Jesus himself has filled us.
Only Eve, the 1st Adam and Jesus (The Last Adam 1 Corinthians 15:45) have ever experienced Righteousness. Adam and Eve were created righteous but chose a path of unrighteousness. Jesus, however was created righteous and lived in righteousness and bestows or IMPUTES that Righteousness upon us (Romans 4:22-24).
The Subject of Righteousness is central to the story. Our unrighteousness separating us from a Righteous & Holy God. Although our unrighteousness got us kicked out of the Garden it did NOT separate us from His Love (Romans 8:35). Jesus takes on our death and we take on His righteousness...
Jesus is the only one that could have done this... and He did.
