3 Short tips on becoming a better Songwriter

#1 Better Songwriting does take practice. So write regularly. Daily if possible.

• Record your songwriting session so you can listen back. As you listen back you may be inspired with new ideas. 

#2  Have something to say... and say it.

• Make sure you say it!  Don't hint at it. Don't assume the listener will be able to connect the dots. Actually come right out and say it! Make it OBVIOUS. 

#3  Great songs aren't written... they are re-written.

• Keep working on that song until you are happy with it. It's very rare that a 1st draft song can't be improved upon.
