What's Next?

I ask this question everyday. I'm sure you do as well.  There is always a next... the moment we say amen and close our Sunday worship service we should be aware that there is a next Sunday barreling down on us.

So what's next..? Here are some things coming next for me...

Here is STUFF that is next...

At Redemption Church

• Preaching next week - Study, pray, write
• Creative Arts Spring Auditions - Give some people an opportunity to come on board.
• Final touches on Easter service - Stage design, special music rehearsals, promotional materials
• Schedule Volunteers for the next month

At Tabernacle of Praise Church

• Friends Day - Special Music Rehearsal, Social Media Promotion
• Easter - Schedule Personnel, Social Media Promotion

Personal

• TAXES - Ugh
• Recording date in April 
• Surprise romantic evening with my wife

That's STUFF that is next...  This stuff is important, but we need more than stuff to do next.  We need organizational direction and vision to be Next!

Here is DIRECTION that is next...

At Redemption and Tabernacle

• Increased level of ownership within my team 
• Mentor those that are showing both the most ownership and have the most potential.
• We Model Passion

Personal

• Family comes before our Jobs

I've seen many churches fill their calendars with STUFF to do next, but lack a true direction to lead the organization in next. We are church leaders... How we lead is more important than what we do... If we do stuff it kind of starts and ends with us, but if we lead a congregation into God's direction and vision... Then that Starts with God and ends in eternity!  Boom!
