Week #2

LIFE - SELF EXISTENT

John 14:6 "I am the Life"

Thomas told Jesus “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”  I have personally felt this way many of times... Thomas I'm with ya Bro!  

Jesus' response to "how can we know the way?" was I am the way... the truth... the life. Jesus so much more than a Jewish carpenter.

John 1:4 "In Him was life"

I've been to funerals where people remarked of the dearly departed..."They had such Life in them"... but none of them continued that sentence like John did... "And that life was the light of all mankind..."  

Acts 3:15 "the Author of life"

The designer, architect, builder, creator, innovator, producer, worker, commander... of Life!

Jesus didn't just live a good life... He authored life for everyone. 

Not a 5th generation developer, like some guy who helped design Microsoft 5.0... Jesus is the original author of Life!

Humanity has often dreamed of everlasting life, as in a Life that was born and doesn't die.  That's a cool dream and most people would use one of their 3 genie in a lamp wishes on it... But Jesus beats this to death... resurrects it... and beats it again!  He swallowed death in victory.

He isn't just a never ending life. He IS life. The source of it. The author and creator of it. The sustainer of it. The purpose, mission, and meaning of it.

The best part... Jesus offers us this same Life.

Open up your Bible and dive into Christ!
